Printing House

Located on the Pearse Street side of campus at New Square, the building consists of two storeys above ground level and a basement level. Access to the building will be on the east side in the courtyard of Printing House Square, via new accessible entrance.

Building Description:

The Printing House was commissioned in 1734 under Provost Richard Baldwins tenure (1717 - 1758). The little Doric temple-fronted building is the third oldest building on campus and housed Dublin University Press from 1735 until 1976. In 2025, works will be complete to prepare the building to house the Book of Kells. The building will be accessible through and main entrance at the east side of the building. The accessible exit of the building will be through the main entrance
